It is now important to commemorate the disaster, praise reconstruction effort , and pass on our hope to the future generations.
This event aims to preserve the memories of the natural disasters, and promote the reconstruction spirit through architecture and art.

Symposium
“Thinking about Australia and Japan’s future – Learning from the experience of natural disaster”
Touching upon Japanese historical knowledge, construction technology, activities of rehabilitation organised by architects and artists. What support can Japan provide in the case of disasters in Australia? What are the preparations and prevention Australians do for natural disasters. Discussion by 3 Japanese guests and professionals from QUT and UQ to share the ideas about the future of Australia and Japan.
